The “Villages” of Manhattan (East, Greenwich, and West) form some of the most exciting neighborhoods in the city. These sections were home to some of the most dynamic writers and the birthplace of great social movements in American history. The area’s influence in political history will also be discussed. Some of the most esoteric sites on the island—including the city’s smallest piece of private property will be shown.
